Den 16 september delades årets Hugo Lagercrantz Award 2026 ut från Stiftelsen. I år tilldelades det Mark Hanson, professor vid University of Southampton. Priset delades traditionellt ut av Hugo Lagercrantz själv vid en ceremoni på Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset. 
Motiveringen till priset löd: For his outstanding research concerning development and health across the life-course, starting before conception and with an increasing focus on global health and equity.
